Another busy few months in community with fundraising, empowering young people and continuing the good work of Rotary!
Travelling with Amanda
Amanda is in the tail end of her exchange year with our club. In early April she had the opportunity to visit Kalbarri and the Pink Lake as she travelled up north with her host families.
Bunnings Sausage Sizzle
Another successful sausage sizzle with over 800 sausages sold at Bunnings Armadale.
Thank you to all our volunteers who worked through a very busy day to fundraise for our club and serve our community.
Team building with Rotarians
At one of our club meetings we worked on some creative ways to explore how we communicate with one another. Above is the 'build a duck' challenge which helps us think about how we communicate with one another and how even simple tasks can create different outcomes.
In this activity Rotarians were given 6 pieces of Lego and told to make a duck. As you can see, we have some very creative ducks at the end of this session.
Welcoming Morgan
Morgan our newest member to Rotary Armadale
Morgan joined our club this month and brings with him his experience as a real estate agent, along with a history in accounting and time within the Military back in his home country of Singapore.
Morgan is keen to volunteer and has already been active within his community and within supporting Rotary. Welcome Morgan!
Ryla and Rypen
Our most recent Ryla and Rypen attendee's shared with our club the value of being part of Rotary programs and how it built their confidence and challenged them in new ways.
Joining us for dinner?
We always love having guests join us for our dinner meetings. A gentle reminder that if you are joining us to please let us know in advanced as we have a pre-prepared meal hosted by the Champion Centre.
The meal is $25 for a two course meal and we can provide details of our bank account for payment.
The month ahead
The next month will see us planning our girls friendship program, wrapping up our year of Rotary youth exchange, planning for NAIDOC and much more!
The best way to follow us in through a Facebook page or by subscribing to this very newsletter!
