Our Rotary Youth Exchange student Amanda shared all about her life in Norway this month with us. Amanda has been settling in well and is a confident speaker about her home and was keen to share a little more about Norway with our club. 

 

Amanda also shared a little bit about what she has been up to in the last 2 months with us. How time flies! 

Earlier in the month Gail, Graham and Anthony joined our friends at The Fathering Project to cook up a sausage sizzle lunch for their Step Up for Kids event. While the weather was a little hostile and the rain came in sideways, we all had a great day.

 

The Fathering Project saw a good turn out for their walk and everyone warmed up at the end with a coffee and a sausage sizzle before heading home.

Another amazing youth leadership that saw 12 young people come together to learn more about foundational leadership skills. 

One of the many activities of the day was our domino building challenge. While a fun activity, tested all our young people as the only certain thing with dominos is they will fall down in the process. 

 

Our other activities were a 'Get to know you bingo' to practise communication skills and an analysis activity of 'Trapped on the moon' where our young leaders had to explore how they may survive on the moon and if they would be rescued.
