At the start of December our club celebrated our 70th birthday. We were thrilled to have so many guests and friends join us for this celebratory event.
Over the night we reflected on presidents past and some of the great projects our club has been involved with.
With special recognition of Geoff Woodard's 42 years of service to Rotary and the many years he has taken on important roles within our club, more recently his ongoing commitment to the role of treasurer.
We also saw recognition of a Paul Harris Fellow to Natalie Crosswell for her ongoing commitment to our club and overall passion for improving the Armadale community for the better.

Quiet Zone at Carols by Candlelight
This month we were invited to extend our Quiet Zones projects to another major Armadale event.
The City of Armadale invited us to host the Quiet Zone at Carols by Candlelight. This continues to be a space for some quiet in very busy community events for those who require time to rest and reset before having more fun.
Community Christmas Dinner
Over two days Rotarians and friends gathered to support those most in need within our community. In partnership with Crossways Kitchen, some friends from The Armadale Chamber of Commerce and sponsorship from Bendigo Bank, we were able to support many people in community with a free three course Christmas meal, food supplies for the days that follow and much needed essentials.

Rotary Youth Exchange - Half way there!
Rotary Youth Exchange student Amanda is half way through her exchange with our club.
Amanda has been engaging in regular volunteering with our club and also getting about and seeing the sights in Perth. Having recently visited the Perth Mint and learning all about Western Australia's Gold Rush.

The month ahead
The next month will see the return of Ella (Our outbound Rotary youth exchange student) from Italy. We are looking forward to hearing more about her year away. As well as our last installment of the youth leadership project for this period, a new years breakfast for our club members and planning for the year to come.
